Teach me to walk and I'll run by your side.
Teach me to swim and I'll go against the current
Teach me to climb and I'll reach the highest peak
Teach me to see and I'll find you
Teach me to heal and I'll soothe the wounds of others
Teach me to live and I'll be an instrument of peace
Teach me to speak and I'll proclaim your name
Teach me to shine and I'll be the light in the darkness
Teach me to love and I'll show the world your face
Some people don't deserve forgiveness, but still we accept apologies. Why?
Why, after countless times of being lied to, burned stabbed in the back, and hurt, do we give them a second chance?
Because we've done the same.
That's the problem with caring, it doesn't seem worth it. You'll get hurt a thousand times before you're happy. But if you get to 999 and stop caring then you'll never be truly happy. That's why you have to go on showing love and compassion to everyone you meet, no matter what they've done or deserve. It's a thousand to one chances, but when you find that one, you would go through ten thousand more for them.

How can I allow you,
The things you deserve.
Every night your're weeping
Nothing I can do.
Distance divides us
Yet hearts intertwined.
The journey is long,
But we mustn't rush.
Lest we stumble
And lose our path.
Small steps lengthen our time,
However assured arrival.
Guaranteed success.
On a road so fragile.
You never said a single word,
But You spoke to my heart.
You never held my hand,
But I know your gentleness.
You never told me goodbye,
But I know your love.
The canyon that divides us
far too wide to cross.
Cut off from physical touch,
But nothing more.
Our love forms an unbreakable bond
Joining us across the pit.
That no matter how apart we are
One is never without the other.
Some things are best left broken
Cracks mended and chips filled,
Buts when the pot shatters
You must make a new.
Know the work to create the first
And the stuggle to do again.
The pain serves to remind
Of what could and has happened.
Only the reason is why you do it again
Without it you cannot survive.
We sit like birds upon a wire,
Safe secure on our own line.
Across we see another
Sitting just as we.
Yet strange-we do not greet
Dare we not cross them
Flinching, falling, fear
Now we grow accustom to wait
Watch and listen you their song.
But once the song has flown away
Nevermore can it be reached.
Word are not enough
Emotion cannot be explained joy sadness
Anger or love.
But experiences define these
Not words.
Nothing ever promised
Not a grain of sand unearned.
we must work
For everything
Everyone in our lives.
We may want,
But the One only gives
What we need.
As i walk this path tonight,
a great web of lights
strewn together by a thread
thin as a blade
illuminates my path.
Guiding each step i take.
Casting shadow upon the way ahead.

As i wander this road
I pause now and again
to turn my eyes to the heavens.
I am not drawn to the brightest glow,
nor the most brilliant shimmer.
But to one with no other around.

It was then that I realized,
that it did not need to shine
as bright as the others.
For in its solitude
true beauty abided

But though it is here tonight,
there is no promise of tomorrow.
For this truth i must cherish
and love its radiant beauty.
That I know not how long we have.
Your beauty compares not to that of a rose,
Nor your aroma to the finest incense.
There not room enough for another in my eyes,
And no other scent could be as sweet.
You voice is that of a divine chior
And your touch warm than a raging fire.
Each of us have our secret struggles,
The ones that we hide from the world in hope that they will fade.
Our unsettled demons that torture us,
To the point where we feel lost and alone in a crowd.
But there is one who can truly shelter us from the storm.
His name is known by many,
However out of guilt it is proclaimed by few.
He is the one who feels our pain,
Who can see what is hidden behind the wall be put to the world
He is the wisper in the wind,
The shimmering lights in the sky,
He is the warmth of the sun,
And the sound of your voice.
The shroud of sorrow is thick enough to hide all fear,
and its weight conceals guilt.
But after a time it becomes like skin,
clinging tight to the body.
If it is allowed to reach this point,
the only way to remove it is by ripping and tearing each strand apart.
As the cloth becomes frayed people begin to see that you no longer wish to hide from the world,
and help you in your struggle to lift the veil of darkness from your life..
A lone candle has been blown out by the winds of death,
But not before it set fire to each of our hearts.
The blaze that continues to glow within us Shall be a constant reminder
of how one single flame has the power to light thousands more.
These flames illuminate a place of sorrow, but also compassion.
It is a place where all can come to have their greif lifted from them,
And forever live without fear of the storm that surrounds them.
In the chill of night i will be your warmth
In the heat of day i will be your shade

In your times of pain i will comfort you
In your times of tears i will be your joy

When you lose your way i will guide you
when you are broken i will repair you

When you are scared i will protect you
When you need help i will be beside you
